Mrs. Herman Croon Had Lived Near Craig Since 1913

Funeral services for Mrs. Herman Croon were held at St. John’s American Lutheran church at Craig Monday, April 7, 1958, under the direction of the Cooperative Burial association of Sioux Center.

The Rev. Donald Schmidt officiated. Burial was in the Craig cemetery.

Mrs. Croon passed away after a long illness at the Hawarden hospital April 3, 1958.

Emma Meier was born at Bible Grove, Ill. April 13, 1886. She was united in marriage until in marriage with Herman Croon Dec. 15, 1907, at Nokomis, Ill. They moved to the vicinity of Craig 1913.

Survivors include the widower, a daughter Verna of Craig, two sons, Amos of Merrill and Milo of Crete, Ill.; four grandchildren, two brothers, William of Ireton and Louis of Nokomis, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Barringer and Mrs. Anna Nantkes of Pana, Ill., and Mrs. Louise Printy of Altadena, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Edna, two sisters and six brothers.
