Westfield Resident For Many YearsMrs. L. F. Taylor, long time resident of Westfield township, died at the Taylor homestead southeast of Akron on Thurday [Sic], December 5 after a two year illness.
Katherine Ann McInnis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Argue[Sic: Read ‘Angus’] McInnis, was born in New Britain, Nova Scotia on November 16, 1871 and was 75 years and 19 days old at the time of death, She was married in Plymouth county on October 8 1390, to Lewellen[Sic Read: ‘Llewellyn’] Francis Taylor who preceded her in death on November 29, 1939, She was also preceded in death by one daughter.
She is survived by five children Darrell Taylor, Lowell Taylor, Harvey Taylor and Mrs. Dorothy Lorensen, all of Akron, and Mrs. Neil Robertson of St, Lawrence, South Dakota; one brother, Alexander McInnis of LeMars, and one sister, Mrs Dick Richards of Brunsville. She also leaves eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Plymouth Presbyterian church on Sunday afternoon al 3 o’cloak with Rev. Theodore Seibert officiating. Burial was in Plymouth Presbyterian cemetery.Copyright © 1946; Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel (Le Mars, Plymouth County, Iowa) of 10 December 1946.
