BRUNSVILLE MAN DIES SUDDENLY

Last Rites Are Held Tuesday Afternoon For Bernahard Toel

Bernhard Henry Toel, of Brunsville, passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital in LeMars on March 15. He had been in good health until becoming sick very suddenly. He was 78 years, 2 months and 8 days of age.

Bernhard Toel was born January 7, 1879, in Germany. At the age of 12 years he came to the USA with his parents. On February 14, 1912, he was married to Anna Borchers in Johnson township. The farmed in Plymouth county until 1942 when they retired and moved to Brunsville. His parents were Margretta Folker and Anton Toel

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 18, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Brunsville with Rev. A. F. Zenk officiating. Burial was in the Le Mars city cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Anna; a son, William, of LeMars; 2 daughters, Mrs. John (Leona) Osterbuhr, of LeMars and Mrs. Herbert (Agnes) Morris,, of Sutherland; 7 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Helen Borchers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Fred.
