MRS. ANNA TOEL, 74, OF BRUNSVILLE DEAD; RITES SET FRIDAY
Mrs. Anna Margaret Toel, 74, Brunsville, died Tuesday at the Akron hospital following an illness of 1˝ years. She had recently been in an Akron nursing home. Her death, however, was unexpected.
Anna Margaret Borchers was born Feb. 14, 1893, in Plymouth county, the daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Rickleffs) Borchers. Her marriage to Bernhard H. Toel took place Feb. 14, 1912, in Preston township. He preceded her in death in 1952.
The couple lived in Preston township until retiring until retiring to Brunsville in 1942. For the last 1˝ years she has resided at the Akron nursing home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Peter Lutheran church, Brunsville. Re. Olaf Rossing will officiate and burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Vernelle (Agnes) Ebert of Cherokee and Mrs. John (Leona) Osterbuhr of rural Le Mars; a son, William C. Toel of rural LeMars, eith grandchildren and 12-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, B. J. Borchers, Le Mars, andtwo sisters, Mrs. Alma Plueger, Akron, and Mrs. Frieda Eilers, Le Mars.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson in 1961.
Mrs. Toel was a member of St. Peter Lutheran church in Brunsville.
