Christian Voss, one of the oldest residents of Plymouth county died at his home on Park street in this city at half past seven on Sunday morning after an illness lasting six-months from liver complaint.

Mr. Voss was a native of Germany where he was born sixty-six years ago. He came to LeMars in 1878 and lived in Plymouth county since being engaged in farming in Marion township. Last April he moved into town from the farm to enjoy a well earned rest.

He was united in marriage with Miss Sarah Meyer, February 26, 1878, in LeMars.

Besides the widow he leaves a son Arthur Voss and three daughters, Mrs. M. Neissuis, of Marion and two girls living at home.

Mr. Voss was one of the old settlers and was highly respected.

The funeral will be held this afternoon at two o’clock at the German Methodist church.
