MRS. JOHN HEBELER CALLED BY DEATH FRIDAY, MARCH 15

Last Rites Are Held Tuesday For Former Local Resident

Mrs. John Hebeler, a former resident of Akron vicinity, passed away Friday, March 15, at Sunrise Manor Home in Sioux City, aged 84 years, 4 months, and 7 days.

Mrs. Hebeler, the former Edith Healless, was born November 8, 1878, in England. She came to the United States as a child, settling with her family a Low Moor, Ia. She was married to John Hebeler November 2, 1897, at Low Moor. They moved to a farm near Kingsley, Ia., in 1909, and moved o Akron about 20 years ago. She had resided in Sioux City the past four years.

Survivors include the widower; four sons, Ralph, Dwight and Raymond, all of Akron, and Dewey of Moville; three daughters, Mrs. Alva Rowlet, Mrs. William Koontz and Mrs. Gilbert Kjos, all of Sioux City; a brother, Charles Healless of Clinton, Ia., 14 grandchildren and 12 great-gnadchildren.

Funeral services were held here Tuesday afternoon in Wesley Methodist church, Rev. Donald Roberts officiating. Mrs. Esther Ferguson was soloist and Mrs. Orin Harris was organist. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased; Dewey Hebeler, Jr., Merlin Kjos, Billy Koontz, Dean Hebeler, Raymond Rowlet and Bill Hebeler. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
