AKRON, Iowa—Special: Funeral services for John Hebeler, 92, Akron resident who died Monday at a Kingsley, Iowa nursing home after a brief illness, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Lewison-Schroeder Funeral Home here. The Rev. Donald Roberts will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Hebeler was born Nov. 14, 1873, at Chicago, Ill. He married Edith Healless on Nov. 2, 1898, at Low Moor, Iowa. She died in 1963. They lived on a farm near Kingsley until 1909, then moved to the Akron vicinity.

Survivors include four sons, Dwight, Ralph and Raymond of Akron, and Dewey of Moville, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Alva Rowlet, Mrs. William Koontz and Mrs. Gilbert Kjos, all of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

JOHN HEBELERR IS CALLED BY DEATH

Rites Held Last Week For Former Akron And Westfield Man

Following a brief illness, John Hebeler, a former well-known resident of Westfield and Akron vicinities, passed away Monday, February 8, at Kingsley, Iowa, nursing home aged 92 years, 2 months, and 25 days.

Mr. Hebeler was born November 14, 1872, in Chicago, Ill., and spent his boyhood there. On November 2, 1898, he was united in marriage with Edith Healless at Low Moor, Iowa. Their union was blessed with four sons and three daughters. They lived on a farm near Kingsley, Iowa, until 1909 and then moved to Akron vicinity. His wife preceded him in death in 1963.

Survivors include four sons, Dwight, Ralph and Raymond of Akron, and Dewey of Moville, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Alva Rowlet, Mrs. William Koontz and Mrs. Gilbert Kjos, all of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held here Thursday afternoon, at the Lewison-Schroeder Funeral Home, Rev. Donald Roberts, pastor of Wesley Methodist church, officiating. Mrs. Esther Ferguson was vocalist and Mrs. Orin Harris was pianist. Casket bearers were Alvord Banks, Harold Campbell, Roland Swanson, Ernest Lucken, James Klauer and John Milbrodt. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
