Raymond Hebeler
AKRON, Iowa—Raymond Hebeler, 77, of Akron, died Thursday at an Akron hospital following a long illness.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Wesley United Methodist Church. The Rev. Peter Peterson will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Akron.
Mr. Hebeler was born Sept. 20, 1907, at DeWitt, Iowa. He married Helen Rollins on May 4, 1939, at Nashua, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Westfield and Akron area until retiring in 1972. The couple moved to Akron in 1974.
Mr. Hebeler was a past master of Freedom Lodge 434 AF and AM of Akron and was a member of the Sioux City Consistory. He was a member of the Abu Bekr Shrine Temple. He was a past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star chapter at Akron. He also was a member of the Siouxland Gem and Mineral Society for many years.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Mary Ellen) Powell of Akron and Jo Ann Tindall of Hot Springs, Ark.; three sons, Dean, William and Robert, all of Akron; five grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph of Akron, Dewey of Moville and Dwight of New Mexico; and three sisters, Mrs. Alva Mae Rowlet, Dorothy Kjos and Doris Koontz, all of Sioux City.
