Note: Her maiden name could either be spelled Carrothers or Corrothers and her firs name is Margaret. She is buried in Hill Side Cemetery.
Mrs. Henry Manz, who resides a few miles north of town, passed away very suddenly Sunday afternoon. She had been at all the morning services at church and n her way home she became very suddenly ill and just after her arrival home life took its flight to the world beyond.
Mrs. Manz was a good, whole souled Christian and it was her joy to do the work of His will. During the class meeting she stated that before coming to church she somewhat hesitated whether to cme or not and her comforting thought was that God’s will was always with her, so drove to church and her last hours in this world were worshiping and praying in God’s house.
Death laid his cold, icy hand upon her and took her home where she might mingle and labor ow with the loved ones gone before her.
Years ago she was a strong worker in the Free Methodist Church, but after the church here had closed she handed her letter into the Methodist Episcopal church of which she has been a most devout member and her absence will be greatly missed and she will long be remembered by her many charitable acts; she was a most loving mother and friend.
She leaves several children, all grown to mourn her death. We extend our sympathy to them.
