Life’s end

MRS. ELIZABETH LEMKE GRAVESIDE SERVICES SET HERE SATURDAY

Elizabeth Lemke, 87, was born June 5, 1879, at Plymouth County, to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Manz, and died Aug. 24. Death came following a brief illness.

Dec. 19, 1899, Elizabeth was united in marriage to William Lemke in Plymouth County. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1958.

In former years, she had been a school teacher. Before moving to Onawa in 1962 and making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Fred Fountain, she had lived at Le Mars.

Survivors are her three daughters, Mrs. Fred Fountain of Onawa, Mrs. J. A. Erickson of Auburn, Calif., and Mrs. Arthur Justi of St. Petersburg, Fla., and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Congregational Onawa, with Rev. Frank Perry officiating. A 2 p.m. committal will be held at Le Mars Memorial Cemetery with arrangements by the Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.
