Mary Beeck Turner, 93, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars.

Private family services will be held. Reverend Gary Landsness of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Akron, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be after 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013 with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mary Belle Heubrock was born October 6, 1920 in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Belle (Searle) Heubrock. She attended country school near and later high school in Hawarden. She graduated from Hawarden High School in 1938. She was united in marriage to Edward F. Beeck on July 26, 1940. They lived in Sioux City and later farmed south of Hawarden for nine years. Later, they lived in the Bronson, Iowa area until moving to Westfield. Ed passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 1960. Mary worked for Otis Radio for nine years in Hawarden. Later, she was united in marriage to Reuben Turner on August 8, 1965. She then moved to Le Mars. She went to work for K-Products, working as a seamstress for over 17 years until retiring in 1983. Following her retirement, she and Reuben traveled locally and abroad. They enjoyed spending their winters in Texas and Arizona and camping. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars, where she was a member of the ELCW. She also served on the Altar Guild, Worship committee, and Stewardship committee. She also enjoyed quilting and embroidery work. Mary was also a member of the Sunshine Club in Le Mars. Mary volunteered for many years at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars. She was the recipient of the Governor's award for Volunteerism. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her children: Edward F. (Diana) Beeck of Akron, IA; Mary (Myron) Sargisson of Hot Springs, SD; Michael Beeck and life partner, Bobby Kimberlin of Carrollton, TX; David (Anne Gruss) Beeck of Edina, MN; Steven (Pam) Beeck of Le Mars; Linda (Darin) Anderson of Lincoln, NE; Brian (Harriett) Turner of Fargo, ND; and Melissa Turner of Woodland, CA; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Thomas Beeck; her husbands: Edward Beeck and Reuben Turner; and a step daughter: Maida Graham.
