Nancy Rolfes, age 75, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at her residence in Le Mars.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at All Saints Parish - Saint James Church in Le Mars. A public visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 and will continue until the start of the service at the church. A private family burial will be held at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars.

Nancy Dee Collins was born on February 15, 1940 to Wayne and Faye (Nash) Collins in Le Mars, Iowa. Nancy was raised and attended school in Le Mars. She was married to Frances Rolfes on June 26, 1956 in Elk Point, SD. They made their home in the Le Mars and Merrill area with their 11 children. Nancy was a homemaker for her family for many years. Later she went to work for Harkers Distribution Inc. for 8 years and then worked at Lally's Eastside Restaurant until she retired. Nancy's favorite pastimes were spent with her friends and family. She enjoyed going gambling with her sisters and brothers, whether near home or traveling together to Vegas and Des Moines. She also enjoyed her coffee time with her siblings and friends. Her favorite time was spent being with and taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Nancy was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Merrill and the Merrill Legion Auxiliary.

Nancy is survived by her 11 children: Mary Ann Peterson of Sioux City, IA, Karen (Bill) Steffen of Storm Lake, IA, Donna (Tim) Schindel of Urbandale, IA, Doris (Mark) Kunkel of Remsen, IA, Ed (Denise) Rolfes of Le Mars, IA, La Von (Mike) Klover of Stillwell, KS, Lois (Mike) Zaimes of Mesa, AZ, Mark (Sandy) Rolfes of Le Mars, IA, Dan (Amie) Rolfes of Elkhorn, NE, Tammie (Ron) Hagert or Remsen, IA, and David (Laci) Rolfes of Adair, IA; 29 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Cary (Caroline) Collins, Tim (Karen) Collins, Ted (Malinda) Collins, and Jack Collins; six sisters: Kay Pfannkuch, Mary Gay McClatchey, Sue (Cliff) Barreth, Kathy (Bob) Feller, Jill Collins, and Priscilla (Curt) Strathman; and many other relatives.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents: sons-in-law: Aaron Peterson and Chuck Dreckman; and brothers-in-law: Donald Pfannkuch and Robert McClatchey.
