Obituary for Freda Reeves
Freda W. Reeves, 97, of Sebring, Ohio, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 18, 2015. A private family graveside service will take place on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars.
Freda W. Reeves was born on December 8, 1917 in Primghar, Iowa to Herman Henry and Anna Marie (Anderson) Boyens. She was a longtime resident of Le Mars, Iowa where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. After the death of her husband, she moved to Alliance, Ohio to be near her daughter and family. She joined the First Baptist Church of Alliance where she served as a Deaconess and was active in the Sunday School and served on the Mission Board. She was employed as a member of the food service staff of Mount Union College for 18 years where she became a substitute grandmother for several generations of students.
After retirement, she became a resident of Copeland Oaks in 2000. The family wishes to express their great appreciation for the years of kindness and care she received from the wonderful assisted living staff at Copeland Oaks.
Freda will be lovingly remembered by her son, Roger (Elvira) Lobdell of Taylorsville, Utah; a daughter, Gail (Arthur R.) Murdoch of Alliance, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Paul Robert Reeves, three sisters; and one brother.

this life early Sunday morning, October 18, 2015, at her residence at Copeland
Oaks Retirement Community in Sebring at the age of 97, after a short illness.She was born December 8, 1917, to parents, Herman Henry Boyens and Anna Marie
(Anderson) Boyens of Primghar, Iowa.Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Robert Reeves; three
sisters; and one brother.She is survived by her son, Roger Lobdell (wife, Elvira) of Taylorsville,
Utah; daughter, Gail Murdoch (husband, Arthur R.) of Alliance; five
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.Mrs. Reeves was a long time resident of LeMars, Iowa, where she was a member
of the First Baptist Church. After the death of her husband, she moved to
