YOUNG WOMAN IS CALLED BY DEATH

Mrs. Dick Westhoff Laid To Rest Monday Afternoon

Many friends and neighbors attended the funeral services of Mrs. Dick Westhoff, held at St. John’s Lutheran Church Monday afternoon with Rev. L. L. Belk officiating. Interment was made in the Preston Township Cemetery with L. E. Mauer in charge.

Mrs. Westhoff, 24, wife of Dick Westhoff, prominent and well known farmer of Grant Township died Thursday night, at the Sacred Heart Hospital after a brief sickness.

Mrs. Westhoff was in the best of health until 10 days ago, when she was brought to the hospital suffering from an internal malady.

A bride of only a year, her death came as a great shock to the youthful husband, her parents and friends.

Irene Margaret Marie Frerichs lived all her short life in Plymouth County. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ricklef Frerichs, old residents of Preston Township, and was born April 18, 1912, and educated I the rural schools. She was married in February, 1935, to Dick Westhoff.

In her girlhood she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and was a regular attendant at church and active in community and social circles.

She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Dick Westhoff; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ricklef Frerichs; a brother Elmer, and many other relatives.
