ALFRED BUEHRE, 74, RETIRED AKRON FARM OPERATOR IS DEAD

Alfred Buehre, 74, of 315 4th St. NW died Monday after suffering failing health the last five years. he farmed near Akron until retiring to Le Mars in the fall of 1960.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John American Lutheran Church. Rev. L. L. Belk and Rev. Robert Floy will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran cemetery in Preston township. Prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Maure's funeral home.

Mr. Buehre was born Jan. 10, 1889, near Akron, a son of Otto and Sophie Stueber Buehre. He was a lifelong county resident.

His marriage to Anna Redelfs took place June 14, 1922, in Preston township. She survives, as do a daughter Lillian Buehre of Le Mars and a brother Herbert of Akron.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Margaretha Pausch Buehre, and three children in infancy.
