Mrs. Fay Smith

Mrs. Fay Smith, 73, Akron, died suddenly Friday, (Dec. 9, 1977) at her home following an apparent heart attack.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Wesley United Methodist Church. The Rev. W. M. Bloodworth officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron.

Pallbearers were Jack Smith, Virgil Smith, harry Smith, Bob Smith, Ward Smith and Melvin Johnson.

Mrs. Smith, the former Edna Talbott, was born January 15, 1904, at Adavile. She was married Nov. 8, 1922, at Le Mars. The couple farmed in Plymout County until retiring to Akron in 1955.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Dreeszen of Canton, S. D. and Mrs. Art (Dorothy) Talbott of FAirmont, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Cordor of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Leslie J. Smith of Le Mars; a brother, Jess Barnes of Le Mars; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
