Henry R. Frerichs

Henry R. Frerichs, 90, of Akron, died Saturday, Feb. 26 in his home of an apparent heart attack.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church, rural Akron. The Rev. James Sandvik officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Schroeder funeral home, Akron.

Pallbearers were Lowell Hagar, Rich Bauerly, Dale Frereichs, Jim Frerichs, Bob Frerichs, and Ken Frerichs.

Mr. Frerichs was born Feb. 1887 in Preston township. He married Mary F. Erks Feb. 15, 1911, near Akron. She died July 18, 1976. The couple resided on the same farm for 48 years. They moved to Akron in 1959 following retirement.

Survivors include three sons, Alvin of Akron and Marvin and Arnold, both of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
