Pioneer Resident Taken By Death
Mrs. Anna Friedrich Succumbs to Illness
Mrs. Anna Friedrich, 76, died at the hospital in Akron April 6 following an illness of five days from pneumonia. Mrs. Friedrich was the widow of John G. Friedrich and was a well known resident of Preston township.
Her maiden name was Anna Riegertand she was born at Dyer, Indiana, October 1, 1862. She came to Plymouth county when a girl and was married to John G. Friedrich Mary 26, 1886, in Le Mars.
She is survived by four sons, Frank Friedrich of Marcus, Ed, Henry and Herman, of Preston township, and two grandsons.
Her husband died October 5, 1925, and a son, John, December 28, 1918.
The funeral will be held this Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in St. John's Lutheran church, Preston township. Rev. Theo. Meyer conducting a service in German and Rev. Paul Meyer in the English language and the interment made in the Preston cemetery.
Mrs. Friedrich was a devoted wife and mother and was esteemed by all who knew her.
Note: Maiden name from husband’s obituary is “Reichert”. There are many Reicherts buried in Lake County Indiana. There are NO Riegertands buried there.
