Mrs. Harry Halweg Dies At Her Home
Life Long Residents Of Merrill Vicinity
Mrs. Harry Halweg passed away at her home west of Merrill on Saturday afternoon, December 5. The deceased died of a heart ailment from which she suffered for the past three years.
Julia Dorothea Susemihl, daughter of Julius and. Emma Susemihl, was born September 14, 1890, at Merrill, on a farm in Liberty township where she lived all her life. She was married to Warren Hansen on March 7, 1920. He preceded her in death in 1925. On September 19, 1929, she was united in marriage to Harry Halweg. She died at the ago of 52 years, 2 months and 21 days.
Surviving to mourn her loss are her husband and two brothers, Fred Susemihl of LeMars and Ulrich Susemihl of Merrill, and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Mrs. Halweg was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a faithful member of St. Paul's church in Johnson township and also a member of the Ladies Aid. She was a loving wife, kind hearted, and always ready to lend a helping hand.
Funeral services will be held at the home on Wednesday, December 9, at 1:30 p. m. and at St. Paul's Luthern church in Johnson township at 2 p. m. The services will be conducted by Rev. Gustav Meyer. Interment will be in the Merrill city cemetery.
Pall bearers will be: George Borchers, John Ohlrichs, Peter Von Hagel, Clarence Morris, Herman Jaster and Edwin Klemme.
