ESTEEMED AKRON MAN DIES FRIDAY AFTER ILLNESS

Last Rites Are Held Monday Afternoon For Frank Neunaber

Frank D. Neunaber, a well known and respected resident of Plymouth county and Akron all his life passed away Friday, April 25, at the Akron Hospital after being in failing health the past year and a half. He attained the age of 67 years, 9 months, and 25 days.

Mr. Neunaber was born July 2, 1890, in Plymouth county, Iowa, a son of Heicke and Amelia Neunaber. He was baptized in Christ Lutheran church, Grant township and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran church, Akron, in 1906, by Rev. Fred Meske. He farmed in the Le Mars and Akron areas until 1947, when he came to Akron and began work as a carpenter. He never married. He served his country country in World War 1 being an overseas veteran. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

Survivors include his brother, John Neunaber, of Akron and five nieces and nephews. Preceding him in deathwere his parents and one sister, Mrs. Catherine Albertson, of Keystone, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran church, Rev. Luther A. Meyer officiating. Misses Pearl Huls and Darlene Lehmann were vocalists and Mrs. Luther Meyer was organist. Buria was beside his parents in the Le Mars cemetery, graveside military rites being conducted by members of Hoschler Post, No. 186, American Legion, of Akron. Pallbearers were Luvern Swift, Gerd Johnson, Walde Hilliker, Orria Sparks, Henry P. Willer and Fred Popken.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Louis Albertson, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Albertson, and Robert Albertson and Donald Neunaber, all of Keystone, Ia.; Henry Becker, of Van Horne, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Phillips, of Lincoln, Neb.
