FORMER AKRON MAN IS DEAD

H. Neunaber Passes Away in Le Mars After an extended Illness

H. B. Neunaber, residing west of Le Mars, over the Floyd river, died Saturday, November 30, 1929, following a lingering illness, at the age of 64 years, reports the Sentinel.

Hieke Behrends Neunaber was born September 11, 1865 in Rieperholt, Ostfriealand, Germany, and landed in America when a young man in 1887 and came directly to Le Mars. After a short stay in Le Mars he went to Petersburg, Ill., and later to New Brunswick in New Jersey.

He was married while living in New Brunswick, February 3, 1889, to Amelie Margaretha Janssen, where they lived two years and then came back to this part of Iowa where he has lived ever since being engagedd in the occupation of farming. He retired from active work on the farm in 1919 and lived in Akron and then bought a place in the suburbs of Le Mars.
He leaves to mourn his widow, two sons Frank and John living in Akron vicinity; and a daughter Mrs. Louis Albertson of Garrison, Iowa and a sister Francine Heeren living in Germany, and many other relatives and friends. There are two grandchildren, Joyce Ellen Neunaber and Richard Lewis Albertson.

Mr. Neunaber was a good citizen and neighbor and highly esteemed by all who knew him.

The funeral servicers were held at St. John's Lutheran church in Le Mars Monday afternoon, the pastor, Rev. J. J. Vollmar, officiating, and interment made in the city cemetery.
