Arthur Rozell

Arthur A. Rozell, 76, Akron died Thursday (June 2, 1983) in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran church at Akron. The Rev. Marvin Mueller officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Akron under direction of the Schroeder funeral home. A prayer service was held at 8 p.m. Monday evening.

Honorary pallbearers were Fay Port, R. G. Witt, Lloyd Lamoureux, Melvin Johnson, Julius Willer and Vincent Puhl.

Active pallbearers were Don Neunaber, Virgil Willer, Stanley Willer, Richard Rozell, Dennis Rozell, and David Rozell.

Vocalist Jean wilken sang "Softly and Tenderly" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Organist was Bonnie Kenny.

Mr. Rozell was born Dec. 15, 1906, at Lake Nebagman, Wisc. He married Louise Doyen Dec. 18, 1935, at Akron. He farmed in the Akron area until 1965. He then owned and operated a grocery store at Craig until 1974 when he retired to Akron.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Le Roy of Denver, Colo.; four daughters, Mrs. La Rue (Adele) Hansen and Mrs. arlan (karen) Oltmanns, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Glenn (Phyllis) Hamann and Mrs. Gerald (Delores) Westhoff, both of Le Mars; four sisters, Mae Neuaber and Mona Smith, both of Akron, Mary Moss of Sioux city and Merva Hartman of Hawarden; four brothers, Arvil and Alva, both of Le Mars, Archie of Sioux City and Arlo of Akron; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
