MRS. JAKE BERKENPAS FUNERAL RITES SET SATURDAY AT SENEY

Funeral services for Mrs. Jake (Albertha) Berkenpas, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Seney Methodist church. Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home. Rev. Milo Morris of Le Mars, will officiate.

Albertha Dambrink was born Jan. 8, 1888, in Plymouth county. She died Tuesday at Sacred Heart hospital after being a patient for only a day. She had been in failing health for several months. Her marriage to Jake Berkenpas took place Feb. 17, 1910, in Le Mars. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Jessie (Vander Berg) Dambrink.

Survivors are her husband, Jake of Seney; 12 children, Leonard of Carnes, William, Henry, Mrs. Merlin (Lois) Singer, Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Hoppe, Mrs. Walter (Edith) Renken, Mrs. Robert (Alice) Jennings and Mrs. Harry (Frances) Staebell, all of Le Mars, arthur of Lisbon, Raymond of Los Andgeles, Norman of Fort Riley, Kan. and Mrs. Marion (Jean) Van Roekel of Maurice; 33 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry and Dow Dambrink, and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Tralford all of Le Mars.

She was preceded in death by two children, Della and Mildred.

Mrs. Berkenpas was a member of Seney Methodist church.
