George Lamb dead at 91; rites Tuesday
George Lamb, 91, 420 N. Lynn drive, longtime Le Mars resident, died Saturday at Floyd Valley hospital after an illness of several months. He had been hospitalized six days.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist church with Rev. Milo Morris officiating.
Burial will be in the Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.
Mr. Lamb was a retired insurance agent and was manager of Le Mars’ gas plant in the early 1900’s.
He lived in Woodbury county until moving to Le Mars and Plymouth county in 1906.
Since Jan. 1 he had reside at Brentwood Good Samaritan center.
He was born May 10, 1879, in Woodbury county, a son of the late Charles and Emma Horn Lamb.
He married Cora A. Stahmer July 15, 1916, at Minneapolis.
Mr. Lamb was a member of the First United Methodist church.
Survivors are his wife Cora of Le Mars and several nieces and nephews.
