WESTFIELD MAN LAST WEDNESDAY

Rites Are Held Last Saturday Afternoon For Wayne W. Lilly

Wayne W. Lilly, a well-known and esteemed resident of Westfield, passed away at the Akron Community Hospital, February 4, 1953, at the age of 43 years, 10 months and 8 days. Although his illness was considered critical, his death came as a shock to all those who knew him.

Wayne, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Lilly, was born March 27,1909, at Westfield High school, attended the University of South Dakota and since then has been engaged in farming with his father.

On June 9, 1934, he was united in marriage with Eva Bliss. He leaves in his passing his wife, two children, Addie Jane and Randall Wayne; his parents, a brother, Clare,of Park Rapids, Minnesota, also a number of relatives and a hot of friends.

Wayne was a member of the Westfield Congregational church, where he has served as deacon for a number of years. He has also been secretary to the Westfield school board for the past four and one-half years.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Congregational church, with Rev. Joseph Castle, a former minister of Westfield, and Rev. O.F. Elbe officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Akron, Iowa.

Pallbearers were Wallace Lilly, David Lilly, Bardwell Lilly, Clark Lilly, Farrel Harrington and Alvord Banks.
