VINCENT HEWITT DIES OF POLIOO FRIDAY

Vicent LeRoy Hewitt, 16, month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hewitt east of town, passed away Friday, November, 1948 in St. Vincent's Hospital, Sioux City, Iowa, of polio myelitis. The child became ill Monday of last week and was taken to the hospital Wednesday.

Vincent was born June 16, 1947.

Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers and one sister, Gene, Virgil, Roger, Ruth, and Frederick; also by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Stephens; his uncle, Russell Stephens; his great-grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Stephens, and many other relatives. Friends of the family extend sympathy in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Rossow Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Orville N. Nelson, Pastor of the Methodist church. Interment was in the cemetery at Merrill.
