POLIO CLAIMS DAUGHTER OF REV. AND MRS. O. L. NELSON

The entire community extends deepest sympathy to Rev. and Mrs. Orville N. Nelson in the loss of thier little daughter, Carolyn, who passed away on Tuesday morning, November 9, 1948, in a Sioux City hospital, of bulbar poliomyelitis, aged 5 years, 3 months and 28 days. The child was ill of an apparent cold last week. When the nature of her illness became known, she was at once taken to the hospital in Sioux City and given special treatment, but to no avail.

Carolyn verona Nelson was born in Peoria, Illinois, Qugust 12, 1943, and came to Akron with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Orville N. Nelson and her brother, Ronald, aged about two years, early last May. She became a pupil in the Kindergarten department of the Akron public school at the beginning of this fall's term. A bright and charming child, she was beloved by all her classmates and others who came to know her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Rossow Funeral home, Dr. Frank Bean, of Sioux City, district Methodist supterintendent, officiating. Interment will be at Milan Minn. the former home of Rev. Nelson.
