Etta Meiners

Mrs. Etta Friedericka Meiners, 74, who resided here since 1930, died Sept. 27, 1976, at Plymouth Manor care center in Le Mars where she had resided the last two years. She died following a brief illness.

Etta Borchers was born to Diedrick and Eta Beckman Borchers on March 21, 1902 at rural Maurice. At age 4 she moved to Newkirk, Okla. and returned in 1930 to live here. Her marriage to William Meiners took place June 4, 1949 at Newkirk. He preceded her in death in Feb. 1965. She was a member of St. John American Lutheran church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran church in Le Mars with Rev. William Reck officiating. Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

She is survived by a sister Helena Ludwigs. Le Mare and a brother Herman Borchers of Windfield, Kan. and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
