Lester Gately

Lester Gately, 77, formerly of Akron, died Friday (Sept. 19,1986) in a nursing home at Huron, S.D. after a long illness.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Schroeder funeral home in Akron. The Rev. Burl Ratzsch, pastor of First Baptist church, officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Akron.

Mr. Gately was born Feb. 16,1909, in Liscomb, and had lived in the Le Mars, Akron and Huron areas. He was a retired mechanic.

Survivors include two half brothers, Carroll Hauptly, of Dunkerton, and Dale Hauptly of Elgin, 01.; and one half sister, Phyllis Kuenstling of Dunkerton.
