Mrs. George Kleihauer

Mrs. George (Norma) Kleihauer, 77, Akron, died Friday (June 5, 1981) in the Akron hospital of a brief illness.

Services were held at l0:00 a.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran church, Akron. The Rev. Marvin Mueller officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery under direction of the Schroeder funeral home.

Mrs. Kleihauer. the former Norma Emma Louise Steinert was horn May 31, 1904 in Nekimi, Wisconsin to Mr. and Mrs. August Steinert. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith at the Lutheran church in Oshkosh. Wis. July 3, 1904. She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran church. Akron on March 24, 1918.

Her parents died when she was a young girl and she grew up with the August Meske family near Akron. She married George Kleihauer at Trinity Lutheran church. Feb. 6, 1924. They farmed in the Akron area all their lives. Mr. Kleihauer died Dec. 19, 1960. She remained on the farm until moving to Akron in 1976. Mrs. Kleihauer was an active member of Trinity Lutheran and a member of the ALCW Martha circle.

She is survived by three sons. Harold of Elk Point, Delmer of Akron, and Kenneth of Paulina: two brothers. Henry Steinert of Akorn, Rev. Clarence Steinert of Bradenton. Fla.; one sister. Mrs. Hilda Mueller of Oshkosh. Wis. and eight grandchildren. Casket bearers were Albert Beeck, Arval Jurgensen. Bill Knecht. Herman Renken. Daniel Searls and Harry Wilier.
