Eugene G. (Joe,) Van Court

Eugene G. (Joe) Van Court, 73, Akron, died Wednesday, (Sept. 27, 1989) in the Veterans Administration hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. after a long illness.

Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday in Riverside cemetery in Akron, with Pastor Tim Mason, officiating. Schroeder funeral home in Akron was in charge of arrangements. Military rites were conducted by Hoschler American Legion Post #186.

Mr. Van Court was born June 26, 1916 to Albie and Maude (George) Van Court in Akron. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a truck driver for many years.

He is survived by one sister, Evelyn Barr of Colorado Springs, Colo., and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lawrence (Bob) Van Court.
