As noted in these columns last week, Fay Waterbury, northwest of town, passed away quite suddenly of a heart attack while being examined in a local doctor's office on the afternoon of Thursday, June 7, 1951. He had been taken ill only, a short time before at his farm home, after returning from a business trip to Alcester.

Fay John Waterbury was born in Union, county, South Dakota, August 19 1911, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Waterbury, and departed this life on June 7, 1951, at the age of 39 10 months and 18 days. Fay spent his entire life within a few miles of his birthplace, and engaged in farming. He was baptized and became a member of the Methodist church at fen early age. On November 10, 1934, he was united in marriage with Miss Luceen Stinehart This union was blessed with six children.

He was preceded in death by one son, Kervin Charles on December 23, 1946.

Left to mourn his departure are his wife, Luceen, and five children, Marlin,. Janiece, Joan, Larry, and Fay, Jr.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs.Albert Waterbury two brothers, Floyd, and Marlo Waterbury, besides a host of relatives and friends, A kind and; devoted, husband, father, son and brother, always uncomplaining and of genial nature, industrious and of sterling character, he will be missed by family and friends alike.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, June 11, in the Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. H. Myron Braun, the pastor. There was a large attendance at the services. Music was supplied by a male quartet, comprised of Arden Johnson, Karl Silkebekken, J.J. Behmer and H.B Nelson. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.

Pall bearers were Ernest Lucken, John Milbodt, Roy Nielsen, Clifford Johnson, J. H. Earnest and William Blankenburg.
