WATERBURY, HOFFMAN, HARKNESS

Mrs. Charles Waterbury

Mrs. Charles Waterbury, 93, Akron, died Tuesday (June 24,1980) in the Hawarden nursing home of a long illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Westside Church of Christ in Akron. Tony Nelson officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery under the direction of Schroeder funeral home, Akron.

Pallbearers were Norris Winquist, Elmer Hoffman, Bradley Larson, Alvin Frisk, Gordon Radtke, Mario Waterbury.

Mrs. Waterbury, the former Cordelia Louiza Hoffman, was born June 18, 1887 in Plymouth county. She was married Oct. 10, 1906, in Union county, S.D. The couple farmed in Union county. Mr. Waterbury died in 1945. She remained on the farm until 1972 when she entered the nursing home in Hawarden. She was a member of the Union county Extension club.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Cecelia Hunnell of Santa Ana, Calif.; one brother, George of Akron; several nieces and nephews.
