Mrs. Tony Van Hoff Died Friday At Her Home In LeMars

Mrs. Tony Van Hoff, 435 Fifth Ave, SE, died Friday, February 13, at her home, 435 Fifth Ave, SE, LeMars, after a month’s illness.

Erna Mathilda Winterfeld was born September 1, 1914, at Craig, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Winterfeld. On May 17, 1945, she was married in Omaha, Nebraska, to Tony Van Hoff. She is survived by her widower and two step children, Robert and Thomas Van Hoff, of LeMars. Also surviving are her father, Louis Winterfeld and Arthur Winterfeld, both of Craig, and the following sisters: Mrs. Paul Beyer of Luverne, Minn.; Mrs. Nora Koch, Craig; Miss Lois Winterfeld, Craig; and a step-sister, Mrs. A. W. Metz of Hartley.

Funeral services were held at 1:45 p.m. Monday at the Mauer funeral, at St. John’s American Lutheran Church, LeMars, at 2 p.m. with Rev. L.L. Belk, officiating.
