Schoolboy Passes Away in Hospital. Harm Schroeder, 13, Dies After Week’s Illness.
Harm Schroeder, 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schroeder of Le Mars, passed away in the Sacred Heart hospital Sunday after a week of illness. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Diedrick Frerichs, Mary and Betty and by one brother, John. Three of his grandparents are living.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Bernice, who died when eight years old, and one brother Lawrence, who died in infancy.
Harm Schroeder was born September 10, 1925, in Remsen. He lived there with his parents until four years old when they moved to Le Mars. He will be buried in Remsen Wednesday. The funeral will be at the Lutheran church with Rev. A Noack in charge – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Sept. 27, 1938, page 1.

Harm Schroeder, 13-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schroeder, passed away Sunday at the Sacred Heart hospital following a brief sickness. He was 13 years and 15 days of age.

Born September 14, 1925, near Remsen, Iowa, he lived with his parents near Remsen, until about 4 years old when he moved with them to this community. He was an eighth grade pupil.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the home and at 2:30 o'clock from the Lutheran church, Remsen, with Rev. Noack officiating. Interment will be made in the Remsen cemetery under the direction of Wiltgens funeral chapel.

Surviving to mourn his loss are his parents, three sisters, Mrs. Diedrich Friedrichs, Mary and Betty; one brother, John; three grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wengler and Mrs. Mary Schroeder.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Bernice, 8 years old; and one brother, Lawrence, who died in infancy.

Attend Last Rites. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the residence and at 2:30 o'clock from the Lutheran church at Remsen with Rev. Noack officiating for Harm Schroeder, 13 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schroeder. Interment was made in the Remsen cemetery. Funk and son, Bronson, Iowa, and the Pritchett family of Struble - Le Mars Globe-Post, Le Mars, Iowa, Monday, October 3, 1938.

Note: Harm died Sept. 25, 1938. His mother was Annie (Wengler) Schroeder. There doesn’t seem to be a gravestone for Harm. His grandmother, Maria Schroeder, has a stone in Block 1 West, Lot 102 in the Remsen Community Cemetery.
