Mrs. John Moritz.
Mrs. John (Sophie Helene) Moritz who had resided in Remsen the past ten years, died July 23 at Sacred Heart hospital after a sickness which lasted seven months.
Her husband was the late John David Moritz. Her maiden name was Sophia Scherner. She was born April 25, 1891 in Germany.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran church with Rev. Alfred Christiansen officiating. The church is located in Remsen.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. August F. (Evelyn) Hansen, Remsen; Mrs. Sylvester (Eleanor) Oehlerts, Remsen. Mrs. Norbert (Elaine) Kellen Sioux City; Mrs. Aaron (Esther) Waller of Marcus; two brothers, and 2 sisters, 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Moeller funeral home in Remsen Thursday afternoon and evening.
