Pay Final Tribute to Veteran Barber. Resident in Remsen Over Fifty Years.
Final rites were held Sunday afternoon at the Evangelical church in Remsen, Rev. Paul Wuebben officiating, for Robert W. Meyer, who died Friday. R. W. Meyer was 79 years old and followed his trade of barber in Remsen for fifty years. He was widely known. Until recently he assisted his son, S. E. Meyer, who conducts the business. Mr. Meyer si survived by his wife and his son.
Mrs. Clarence Grau of this city is a niece of the deceased.

Tangeman and daughter, Mary, Henry, Meyer, Mrs. Will Remer, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Phelan, Mr. and Mrs. John Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Efford Moser and family, Ernest Benjegerdes of Le Mars; Mrs. Martha Starr and Mrs. Lydia Beach, St. Paul, MInn., Mr. and Mrs. John Meyer, Minneapolis; Miss Rose Neisius, Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. A. C.Voss, Huron, S.D.; Mrs. Fred Van Larr, Alton; Mr. and Mrs. George Mainsteen and family of Sioux City. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, June 24, 1941, page 1.
