Mrs. Clarence P. Koerner passed away at her home at 901 2nd Ave. S.E. in Le Mars on December 6, 1953. She had been sick for the past year.
Geneav Ora Trenhaile was born July 21, 1905 at Hardwick, Minn. She was 48 years, 4 months and 15 days of age.
Mrs. Koerner lived in North Dakota until 1916, then at Luverne, Minn., until 1923. The family also lived at Sheldon and Sanborn and moved to Le Mars in 1944 where she has since lived. She was married to Clarence P. Koerner on Sept. 24, 1932 at Sioux Falls, S.D.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mauer funeral home in Le Mars. Burial will be at the Remsen cemetery under direction of Mauer funeral home. Rev. K. I. Clawson will officiate.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence P; two daughters, Charleen & Carolyn Joyce Koerner, at home. Also surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Trenhaile.
Mrs. Koerner was a member of Rebekah Lodge, Royal neighbors, W.S.W.S. Circle 3. She was also a member of Hildreth Memorial E. U. B. church. – Le Mars Globe Post, Dec. 7, 1953, page 1 .
