Mrs. Herman (Rosine) Letsche, 90, Remsen, died Wednesday at Sioux Valley Memorial hospital, Cherokee, after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran church, Remsen, with Rev. Walter Kurth officiating.
Burial will be in the Remsen cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home.
The former Rosine Nagel, she was born June 15, 1881, in Germany. She came to the United States and Plymouth county in 1889 at the age of seven. She lived in Amherst township south of Marcus and Remsen.
She was married Oct. 14, 1902, at Remsen. The couple farmed in the Remsen-Marcus area retiring to Remsen in 1946.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1958; a daughter and a son killed in the service; 13 brothers and sisters.
Survivors are three sons, Erwin of St. Lawrence, S.D., Carl and Walter, both of Marcus, a daughter, Mrs. Walter Nielsen of Marcus, 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. –
Pall bearers were Phil Letsche, Jerome Letsche, Charles Letsche, James Nielsen, Lee Kass and Travis Letsche. – funeral bulletin Feb.19, 1972.
