Died. August Hoeck of Remsen, died on Friday morning from kidney trouble after a sickness lasting over a period of about two years. He was not confined to his home so early but was ailing from that time, and during the past year was confined to his home at intervals. His last sickness was only about ten days duration and resulted in death. He has been a clerk in the Beck store for about twelve years and was a very popular and exemplary citizen. He leaves a wife and family. He was a member of the order of Odd Fellows and the Iowa Legion of Honor.
