Last Rites To Be Held At Akron

Funeral Services For Fred Adams, To Ho Held Tuesday Afternoon

Final rites for Fred E. Adams, 66, of Akron, who died at the Sacred Heart hospital In Le Mars, early Saturday morning, following a sickness of five weeks, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the family residence at Akron, Rev. J. F. Moore will officiate and Masonic services will be conducted at the graveside. Burial will be made in the Riverside cemetery at Akron.

AKRON RESIDENT FOR MANY YEARS TAKEN BY DEATH

Fred E. Adams, Prominent In Community, Dies After Lingering Illness

Following a sickness of five weeks; Fred E. Adams 66, Akron, died in a Le Mars hospital Saturday. Mr. Adams had been a resident in the vicinity of Akron for thirty-one years.

Born February 3, 1868, in Sheffield, Ill., Mr. Adams moved to Salina, Kan., when 17. He had been employed as a telegraph operator at that place for seventeen years when he moved to Tripp, S.D. From Tripp he moved to Akron. he was a member of Freedom lodge, A. F. & A. M., in Akron.

Survivors include: Five sons, Ray, James and Arthur, of Akron; Claude, of Fresno, Cal.; and Fred, of Los Angeles; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Harris and Mrs. Myrtle McCorkell of Akron, and Mrs. Elsie Myrtle, of Moore, Mont.; three brothers; Elmer of Buda, Ill.; Percy, of Claypool, Ind., and Lewis of Princeton, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Ida Hartzell, of Princeton.

Funeral services will be held today in the home at Akron and interment made in the Riverside Cemetery at Akron.
