HOLD LAST RITES FOR MRS. F. ADAMS

Had Been a Resident of Akron Vicinity for a Number of Years

Mention was made in these columns last week of the death of Mrs. Fred E. Adams, Sr., at her home in Sioux Valley township, Union county, S. D., on Tuesday morning, November 28, 1933, after a several weeks illness of heart trouble, aged 58 years and 8 months.

Mary LuEtta Kennedy was born March 28, 1875, at Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was married to Fred E. Adams at Tripp, S. D., in 1891. Ten children were born to this union, two of whom died in infancy.

Those surviving, besides the husband, are five sons and three daughters—Raymond E. and Arthur W., near Akron, la.; Claude L. and Fred E, Jr., of Los Angeles, Calif.; James W., of Sioux City, Ia.; Mrs. Ethel Mae Harris and: Mrs. Myrtle Marie McCorkell, near Akron, la., and Mrs. Elsie Elinora Brest, of Moore, Mont.; fourteen grandchildren; one brother and one sister, William Kennedy and Mrs. Kate Young, of Wagner, S. D Mr. and Mrs. Adams lived for seven years at Tripp and five years at Blunt, S. D. For seven years they resided on a farm near Akron, after which they moved to Chatsworth, la., and several years later to the present farm home in Union county,. S. D.

Mrs, Adams was a kind and loving wife and mother, devoted to family and home; a steadfast friend and loyal neighbor, and will be greatly missed by all who have known her.

There was a large attendance of relatives and friends at the funeral, held last Friday at 2:30 p. m. at the family home, and conducted by Rev. J. F. Moore, of the Akron M. E. church. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.

Relatives from a distance in attendance at the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Brest, of Moore, Mont.; James Adams, of Sioux City; James Riley and daughter, Mrs. Clarence Schroeder, of Wagner, S. D.; Ed Herrity and family, of Elk Point; Mr. ,and Mrs. Alva Norton, of Holstein, la.; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Patterson, of Le Mars.
