Herman F. Steinfadt, 72,601 Third Ave. SE, died Saturday, Oct. 2, at Floyd Valley hospital after a short illness. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. John'a American Lutheran church with Rev. Arnold Imbrock and Rev. Dondd Deines officiating. Burial will be in Memorial cemetery under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home.

Mr. Steinfadt was born Aug. 7, 1899, at Lockwood, Mo., a son of the late Joseph and Talka (Mohlman) Steinfadt. He married Dora Andriesen March 13, 1926, at Elk Point, S.D. He farmed in Sioux county prior to coming to Le Mars in 1926. He was employed by Veale Lumber Co. for 27 years before retiring. He was a member of St. John's American Lutheran church.

Mr. Steinfadt was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.

Survivors are his wife Dora of Le Mars; five daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Betty) Stinton and Mrs. Clarence (Gladys) Kock, both of Le Mars; Mrs. George (Joyce), Moritz of Sioux City, Mrs. Dean (Delores) Day of Chula Vista, Calif., and Mrs. Lloyd (Marvis) Rolling of Fairmount, Minn.; three sons, Donald of Atkins, Harold of Jefferson, Marian of Le Mars; a brother Emil of Hawarden; a sister, Mrs. Rudy (Anna) Klave of Akron; 33 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
