AKRON JEWELER CALLED BY DEATH

LeRoy K. Burket Also Worked At Trade In Le Mars

LeRoy K. Burket, 62, Akron Jeweler, died Friday at his home after a heart attack suffered Wednesday.

Mr. Burket had resided in Akron 14 years. He formerly conducted a jewelry store at Alton several years, and previously had worked as a jeweler in Le Mars. He was born near Ireton April 13, 1880. In 1913 he married Eunice Cooley of Hawarden.

Four children survive: Sergeant Wilson Burket, stationed in Texas; Mrs. William Lundberg, Sioux City; Mrs. Glenn Wood of Akron, and Seaman LeRoy K. Burket, Jr., in the navy.

Mr. Burket was active in civic and fraternal affairs. He was a member of the Methodist church, which he had served as deacon and treasurer, and superintendent of its Sunday school. He was a member of Freedom lodge 434, A. F. & A. M., and had been secretary of the organization the last 10 years. He also had been worshipful master of Floyd lodge, A. F. & A. M., at Alton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Methodist church in Akron. Masonic rites will be conducted at the grave.
