Margarethe Bohlken born Wilms, was born Oct. 18, 1849 in Ubstert (Upschort), Ostfriesland. In 1871 she came to America, was married in 1872 to Siefke Bohlken. They went to Preston township near LeMars. In 1873 he was working for Mr. E.W. Henke. They? the church and stayed true to the Lord until death. In the past four years she suffered much, but she suffered with much patience (or calmness). One week before she died, when the end was nearing, she said I will soon be at home. Her husband and her twelve children suffered her loss, although not as those who have no hope.
