Mrs. Maude Strong, 75, Former Area Resident Dies in Sioux City

Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Morehead Strong, 75, a Sioux Cityan since 1922 who died Wednesday, Sept. 28, at a hospital, were Friday afternoon at the Heaton Westcott Funeral Home. Burial was in Craythorne Cemetery near Akron.

Mrs. Strong was born March 19, 1880, in Pleasant Valley, Ill. She was married to Willow Morehead Aug, 26, 1900. They resided on farms near , Le Mars. He died in Sioux in 1944. She was a member of
Riverside Methodist church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. George Semple and Mrs. Fred Rea, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Leonard Wright of Kansas City, Kan.; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
