Mrs. Ida Morehead,Former Resident Here, Died in San Diego
Mrs. Ida Morehead, 74, died Thursday, April 20, at her home in San Diego, Calif. after a lingering illness of a year.
The body will be brought to Le Mars for funeral services Thursday, April 27, at 2 p. m. in the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. J, W. Oerter will officiate and burial will be in the Le Mars City cemetery. Mauer's Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Ida Rosemond Fletcher was born August 16, 1875 near Morrison, Ill. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Fletcher. She married Herbert B. Morehead on October 30, 1895, in Le Mars. Mr. and Mrs. Morehead farmed near Adaville until they retired and moved to Le Mars where Mrs. Morehead had made her home until she moved to San Diego four years ago. She was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Morehead was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Gladys, one grandson, a sister and four brothers.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Irene Nigg of Los Angeles, Miss Marion Morehead of Akron, Howard and Verle both of Sioux City. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a brother, Walter Fletcher, of Clinton, Minn. and a half brother, Willie Fletcher, of Omaha, Neb.
