Lloyd Wesley Morehead, 91, of Akron died Monday, November 20, 1995. at the Akron Care Center after a brief illness.

Services were held Wednesday, November 22 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Akron, with the Rev. Don Greenough officiating. Pianist was Eva Brown. Burial was In Riverside Cemetery, Akron, under direction of Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron. Casket bearers were Lawrence Maynard, Jerold Dykstra. Kenneth Brown, Brian -Myers. Merlin Brown and Wilbur Hasenbank.

Mr. Morehead was born February 9, 1904, on the family farm near Adaville. He married Helen Pauline Wendt May 28, 1933. She died in 1963. He was a lifelong area farmer, retiring in 1975.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia and her husband, Robert Tiemens of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Pamela Myers of Iowa City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Keith; six sisters, and two brothers.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to personnel of the Akron Care Center and Floyd Valley Community Health Service for their compassionate and highly professional care during the final days of our father's life.
