Marvin E. Morehead

Marvin E. Morehead, 63, of Elk Point, formerly of Akron, died Sunday (April 3, 1983) in a hospital in Vermillion after a long illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by Hoschler Post 186, American Legion. Pallbearers were Douglas Harding, Lance Harding, Todd Sands, Darwin Bauerly, Le Roy Sands, and John Swisher.

Mr. Morehead was born May 5,1919, in Akron. He farmed in the Pisgah and Little Sioux areas for several years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines.

Survivors include a son, Robert Eugene of Sparks, Nev.; his stepmother, Irene Morehead of Akron; a sister, Wilma Morehead of Sioux City; two half sisters, Mrs. LeRoy (Juanita) Sands of Sioux City and Mrs. John (Jeri) Swisher of Harlan, and two grandsons.
