Funeral services for Laurence (Larry) Stibral, 28, Akron, were held Monday Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran church, Chatsworth. The Rev. Durwood Clauson officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Schroeder funeral home. Graveside rites were conducted by Hoschler American Legion post, Akron. Pall Bearers were Bruce Lennon, Kurt Jervik, Roger Clark, Bill O'Conner, Gary Ericson, and Brian McKee.

Stibral was killed instantly in a 1-car accident early Thursday, Sept. 15 east of Akron on county road C-16. Laurence Gene Stibral was born July 8, 1949 at Lake Geneva, Wis. He graduated from the Akron Community High School in 1967. He farmed in the Akron, area and was self-employee; in the roofing business. He served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, 13 months of this in Vietnam.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Stibral of Akron; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Arlene) Lindberg of Westfield; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by a brother William.
